VIASTOP develops and participates in national and European programmes that translate research, professional expertise and frontline experience into practical action.
Our projects address violence from multiple perspectives: supporting victims and survivors, working with people who use violence, strengthening professional and institutional responses, developing evidence and tools, addressing discrimination, and promoting gender equality and human rights.
Through these programmes, VIASTOP works with civil society organisations, public authorities, law-enforcement and justice professionals, researchers, migrant communities and other frontline professionals in Greece and across Europe.

EXODUS
Combating Antisemitic Crimes in Greece and Europe
2024–2026 | European Union – CERV Programme
EXODUS addresses antisemitic hate crime by strengthening both the criminal justice response and support available to victims. Coordinated by the Hellenic Police, the two-year European project brings together seven partners from law enforcement, public institutions, academia and research, civil society and the Jewish community.
The project is developing a comprehensive framework that includes practical guidance on Jewish culture and antisemitic terminology, procedures for addressing antisemitic crimes, a victim-support framework and professional training. Its programme of capacity-building aims to reach 1,000 professionals.
VIASTOP's Contribution
VIASTOP brings its specialist expertise in victim support, trauma-informed practice and violence intervention to the consortium. Our work contributes particularly to strengthening responses to people affected by antisemitic hate crime and preventing secondary victimisation.
The project's victim-support work promotes a trauma-informed, rights-based and intersectoral approach, recognising that effective criminal justice responses must be accompanied by accessible and appropriate support for victims.

RAISE
From Awareness to Action: Building Resilience Against Gender-Based Violence in Migrant Communities
2025–2027 | European Union – CERV-2024-DAPHNE
RAISE addresses the heightened and intersecting risks of gender-based violence experienced by migrant women and communities.
The partnership brings together organisations from Cyprus, Greece and Spain, including VIASTOP, and combines research, community empowerment, capacity-building and public awareness to strengthen responses to GBV within migrant communities.
Research and Community Action
RAISE is conducting substantial cross-national research involving:
15 focus groups · 42 professional interviews · 1,100 questionnaires
The findings will contribute to a comprehensive research report and recommendations concerning migrant women's experiences of gender-based violence.
The project will also provide capacity-building activities for 156 migrant women and 110 migrant men, establish women's Empowerment Groups in each participating country and conduct a large-scale awareness campaign intended to reach approximately 250,000 people.
VIASTOP's Contribution
In Greece, VIASTOP contributes its experience in gender-based violence, victim support, community-based intervention and work with migrant populations, connecting research findings with practical prevention and support.
The project is particularly aligned with our commitment to recognising the intersection between gender, migration, social exclusion and vulnerability to violence.

S.T.A.R.T.
Strategic Tools for Addressing, Recognizing and Tackling Sexual Harassment at Work
PREVENT Programme | European Union – CERV
S.T.A.R.T. is an integrated initiative for the recognition, prevention and response to sexual harassment in the workplace, implemented by WHEN in partnership with VIASTOP.
The project combines direct support with professional capacity-building and prevention.
It provides free legal counselling to victims/survivors and witnesses, training for law students, lawyers and Labour Inspectorate professionals, and educational and practical resources designed to strengthen the recognition and effective management of workplace sexual harassment.
Safe & Fair
A major resource associated with S.T.A.R.T. is Safe & Fair, a dedicated information hub for sexual harassment at work.
The platform provides practical information, tools and resources supporting the recognition, prevention and response to workplace sexual harassment.
VIASTOP's Contribution
VIASTOP contributes its specialist experience in violence and victim support, helping ensure that responses to workplace sexual harassment are sensitive to the experiences of victims and witnesses and minimise the risks of secondary victimisation and re-traumatisation.

VIASTOP+
Capacity-Building for Preventing and Responding to Gender-Based and Domestic Violence
2026 | Bodossaki Foundation & Fondation CHANEL
VIASTOP+ represents the next stage in strengthening VIASTOP's capacity to prevent and respond to gender-based and domestic violence.
In July 2026, VIASTOP was selected as one of ten organisations for Cycle B of the Capacity-Building Programme for Civil Society Organisations active in promoting gender equality and women's empowerment, an initiative of the Bodossaki Foundation and Fondation CHANEL.
Selected organisations participate in a specialised six-month capacity-building programme implemented by Social Dynamo, followed by a €10,000 grant for a small-scale project supporting organisational development and gender equality.
